Oldage Home
Empowering Oldage Home
The Visit to the Old Age Home was initiated with the aim of providing care, companionship, and nutritious meals to elderly residents, many of whom often feel lonely and neglected. As part of this initiative, we visit the old age home once every month, ensuring the residents feel valued and cared for. During these visits, we prepare and distribute balanced, nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs, prioritizing their health and well-being.
Beyond providing food, we spend quality time engaging with the residents through meaningful conversations and activities. Listening to their life stories, sharing laughter, and simply being present for them brought immense joy to their lives. These interactions not only offered them emotional support but also fostered a sense of belonging and connection that many of them deeply crave.
This initiative also shed light on a disheartening reality—many of the elderly residents were abandoned by their children in pursuit of individual freedom. It was heartbreaking to see how parents who had devoted their lives to raising and supporting their children were left to fend for themselves in their later years. This experience reinforced the importance of parents in a child’s life and the responsibility of children to reciprocate that care as their parents age. Our monthly visits aim to bridge this gap, offering both comfort and dignity to these elders while encouraging a culture of respect and gratitude for our parents and elders.
Juvenile Home
Visit to Juvenile Home
The visit to the Juvenile Home was initiated with the aim of providing emotional support and creating a safe space for children to express themselves, feel heard, and develop strength to overcome their challenges. During our time there, we engaged with the kids, listening to their stories and understanding the difficulties they faced. Through heartfelt conversations, we offered words of encouragement and consolation, helping them feel stronger and more confident in themselves.
To uplift their spirits, we organized several art-based activities, including drawing and painting, which allowed the children to express their creativity and emotions. Additionally, we conducted dance and singing sessions, encouraging the kids to let go of their worries and embrace moments of joy and freedom. These activities were designed not only to entertain but also to help the children feel mentally free and unburdened, even if just for a short while.
The visit was a deeply moving experience, as it showed how much a little time, care, and encouragement can positively impact a child’s outlook. By fostering creativity and emotional expression, we aimed to provide them with the strength and resilience to navigate their circumstances with hope and determination. It was a meaningful effort to help these children see their potential and know that they are not alone in their journey
